Get your free estimateThe Halden Heating and Air Torrance Guarantee
We started Halden Heating and Air back in 2004 with a simple idea: if a homeowner in Torrance is going to invite us into their house, they deserve to know exactly what they’re paying before we touch a single component. That idea became our guarantee. Every repair we complete includes a written guarantee at no extra cost. Every job, from a capacitor swap in a Carrier unit in Southwood to a full furnace diagnosis in Old Torrance, starts with a written price. If the repair fails within the coverage window, we come back free. That’s not a promotion. It’s how we’ve operated for over two decades.
What’s Covered
- Written price before any work starts. No estimate ranges, no “we’ll see once we open it up.” You approve a dollar figure on paper, and that’s the figure you pay unless you approve something different in writing.
- Written guarantee on every repair. The guarantee comes with the service automatically. Not as an add-on, not as a paid upgrade. It’s included because a repair we won’t stand behind is a repair we shouldn’t have done.
- Free second visit if the repair fails. If the same problem comes back within the coverage window, we return at no charge. No arguing, no “well, that’s a different issue” runaround. The written guarantee covers it.
- Background-checked, uniformed technicians. The person at your door is an employee we’ve vetted, not a subcontractor we’ve never met. You’ll know their name before they arrive, and you can track their van to your door with a live arrival time.
- Live phone support, 24 hours a day. When you call (424) 358-3791, a real person answers. Not a voicemail tree. Not a callback list. The person who picks up can tell you what’s happening with your appointment.
- Cleanup included. We don’t leave condensate drips, wire clippings, or packaging in your hallway. The work area looks like we found it when we leave. If it doesn’t, call us and we’ll make it right.
- Brand-certified service. Our technicians are certified to service Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard equipment. That means we’re not learning on your unit.

Our Satisfaction Promise
If you’re not satisfied with the work, here’s the process. Call us at (424) 358-3791. Tell us what’s wrong. We’ll send a technician back to look at it. In most cases, the issue is something we can correct immediately, and we do it at no charge if it falls under the written guarantee. If it’s something outside the guarantee window, we’ll still give you a written price before doing anything, so you’re making an informed decision, not a pressured one. Andre Fuller, our owner, reviews every follow-up visit personally. That’s not a figurehead title. He’s the one who built this business on the idea that a callback shouldn’t feel like a confrontation. Part of what lets us operate this way is the Relay Home Co. network, which holds us to a documented set of operating standards called The Relay Standard. Because we’re independently owned and operated under that network, we have the backing of a larger accountability system. The Relay Visibility Guarantee means you can see your technician’s location and arrival time in real time, which removes the “is anyone actually coming?” anxiety that every homeowner in Torrance has felt at some point.
Licensed & Insured Backing
A guarantee is only as good as the company behind it. We’re licensed and insured, which means if something goes wrong beyond the scope of the workmanship guarantee, you’re not left holding the bag. When you hire an unlicensed or uninsured contractor, you’re gambling. If they damage a line set or knock a hole in drywall and walk away, that’s your problem. When you hire Halden Heating and Air, there’s a legal and financial structure in place. Licensing means we answer to state oversight. Insurance means a documented claims process exists. It’s the unglamorous part of the guarantee, the part nobody wants to think about until something goes wrong. But it matters, and we don’t hide from it. Since 2004, our guarantee has been built on paperwork you can hold, not vibes you have to trust.

AfterWhat the Guarantee Is Not
We’re not going to pretend this covers manufacturer warranties on equipment. Your Carrier compressor or your Trane heat exchanger may carry its own factory warranty, and we’ll help you navigate that paperwork when the time comes. Our guarantee covers our workmanship: the diagnosis, the installation of the part, the wiring, the brazing, the startup, the cleanup. Manufacturer defects are a separate category, and we’ll be honest about which is which when we’re standing in front of your unit. The good news is that when we’re certified to work on a brand, we know how their warranty process works, and we’ll handle the filing for you on any installation we complete. No charge for paperwork. That would be a ridiculous thing to bill for.
Why This Matters for Torrance Specifically
Torrance has a particular HVAC profile. We’re close enough to the coast that the marine layer keeps summer evenings cooler than inland cities like Torrance’s neighbors to the east, but that same salt air is hard on condenser coils. Outdoor units in Torrance show corrosion faster than identical units in, say, Glendale. That means our guarantee gets tested more. A repair that holds up in a dry climate might fail in six months here if the underlying corrosion wasn’t addressed. When we write a guarantee on a repair, we’re factoring in that coastal reality. Andre Fuller has been working on units in Torrance since 2004, and he’s seen exactly how the salt air in the Riviera neighborhood eats through aluminum fins on a Goodman unit that would run fine for years in Redondo Beach with proper maintenance. The guarantee isn’t generic. It’s written for the units and the conditions we actually work in.
What to Expect on the Day of Your Appointment
You book online or call (424) 358-3791. You get a live arrival time. You track your technician’s van to your door. The technician introduces themselves, wears shoe covers, and listens to what you’ve noticed about the system. Then the diagnosis starts. When the issue is identified, you get a written price. You approve it or you don’t. If you don’t, you owe nothing for the diagnosis. If you approve it, the repair happens, the work area is cleaned, and you get a written guarantee before the van pulls away. That’s the whole process. That’s The Relay Standard in action. That’s what “we stand behind our work” actually means in Torrance, on your street, at your house.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Every repair comes with a written guarantee automatically. It’s not a line item you pay for. It’s not an upsell. If a company is charging you extra for a guarantee on their own work, what does that tell you about how confident they are in the work? Call (424) 358-3791 and ask us directly if you want to hear it from a person.
If the failure falls within the guarantee’s coverage window, we come back free. You call us, we schedule the return visit, and the technician diagnoses the same issue. If it’s the same problem, we fix it at no charge. That’s the free second visit, and it’s included automatically with the original repair. No arguing required.
Installations carry the same 365-Day Done Right Promise as repairs. If something wasn’t done right on an installation, we make it right. A full year of accountability on every completed job, whether it’s a repair or an installation. That’s the standard.
Employees. Background-checked, uniformed, and trained by us. You’ll know their name and see their live location before they arrive. When a company sends subcontractors, they’re giving up control over the quality of the work. We don’t do that.
Call us. Tell us what’s bothering you. We’ll send someone out to look at it. The guarantee covers workmanship, and workmanship includes things like neatness, communication, and leaving your home the way we found it. If we didn’t meet the standard we set for ourselves, we fix it. That’s what the satisfaction promise is for. Call (424) 358-3791 and talk to a real person, any time.
